MRG Welcomes Summer Interns

MRG welcomes the 2021 cohort of summer interns to the College Internship in Suburban Ecology (CISE) program. This summer’s undergraduate students are interested in the fields of ecology, conservation biology, and environmental sciences, and will assist staff and researchers with field work and data analysis over the course of a 10-week internship. A warm welcome to Emily Bosch (Oberlin College), Mak Boylan (Tufts University), Leah Cass (a recent graduate from George Washington University), Serena Feldman (SUNY Binghamton), and Lucas Andujar, who is doing a “Resiliency Internship” through Pace University. The students all come from Westchester and Fairfield Counties.

We’re delighted to have the students here after the college internship program was suspended during the pandemic last summer. The students have jumped right in to work on trail stewardship, camera trap deployment for the Gotham Coyote Project, invasive vs. rare native species identification in vegetation plots, and, of course, battling invasive vines in the Preserve.
