IRA Retirement Plans
Giving the Gorge part of your retirement assets, such as your IRA, 401(k), 403(b) or another tax-deferred plan is a simple way to make a gift and may result in a tax benefit for you.
- At age 70 ½, you may use the qualified charitable distribution (QCD) option for an IRA gift.
- At age 73, you must take a required minimum required distribution (RMD) annually.
- Retirement plans passed to your children and heirs carry a tax-related consequence.
- Naming the Gorge as a retirement plan beneficiary may result in a tax benefit, and the Gorge receives the full value of your retirement plan gift.

The Land Society
