MRG Welcomes Christodora Students

19 students from the city spent the day at Mianus River Gorge helping with a trail project and hearing from staff about careers in the natural sciences. Here’s a note from Christodora’s City Programs Manager with a link to a blog post his co-worker put together.

Hi Chris and Budd,

I would like to extend a big thank you from all of us at Christodora! From a warm reception to a very personal and passionate Q&A to a well put together service project, we can all agree the day was great! Our students used new tools they had no prior experience with and took on tasks they’ve never been able to before. Most importantly, they learned something new and enjoyed themselves all the while. The bus ride back from Mianus had such a buzz and warm energy to it, I like to think it’s because of the impact they all felt they imparted and the teamwork required!

In addition to the thanks, we’d also like to share this wonderful blog post of the service day that Alexis, our Development Manager put together.

A Golden Day at the Mianus River Gorge Preserve

I’d also like to thank Pamy for guiding this collaboration! We look forward to making this a standing trip for the CoRE Saturday Program every fall.
