Invasive Species Awareness Week Event
Invasive Species Workshop:
Part 1: Plant & Pest ID Walk
Part 2: Invasives Weed Pull
To support the New York Invasive Species Awareness Week, join Budd Veverka on a walk to identify invasives and get tips on how to tackle them in your own backyard.
Learn about newly identified invasive plants and animals (like jumping worms) and how to identify what’s invasive and what’s not.
**Following the morning workshop, lunch will be provided.**
In the afternoon we will remove some of the invasives you learned to identify earlier.
Your participation in this New York Invasive Species Awareness Week activity will help promote growth of native plants and restore the health of the forest floor.
Remember to bring work gloves, too, if you have them.
RSVP to info@mianus.org or call (914) 234-3455.
