Welcome to the 2025 Mianus River Gorge Spring Wingding!
The Spring Wingding is a community celebration of the Mianus River Gorge, a local treasure and an oasis of protected land and water resources in the Mianus River Watershed. The protected lands provide habitat for hundreds of species of animals and plants, including a rare old-growth forest with thousands of ancient hemlock trees.
But the Mianus River Gorge does much more than protect the watershed. MRG’s wildlife biologists conduct applied ecology research and work collaboratively on regional initiatives that positively impact the health and sustainability of our shared natural resources.
MRG also offers three innovative, interrelated research-based education programs to address real-world conservation problems brought on by urbanization. Students engaged in these programs work together to create a rich scientific learning community tasked with developing a better understanding of our local ecology.
We look forward to telling you more and welcoming you for cocktails & light fare at this festive spring party.
