Irreplaceable — The Mianus River Gorge Story
A new documentary narrated by Glenn Close

Join us for a memorable evening benefiting Mianus River Gorge and the movie premiere of Irreplaceable – The Mianus River Gorge Story, a film narrated by Glenn Close about the small group of remarkable neighbors who refused to let the Gorge disappear.
Their determination saved the Gorge and its rare old-growth forest, which became The Nature Conservancy’s first land project. Their actions helped inspire a conservation movement that reaches around the world.
The film takes us deep into the Gorge—beneath ancient hemlocks and alongside the river—and introduces us to the passionate people who saved it. More than 70 years later, visitors, scientists, students, and conservationists are still discovering its secrets.
Above all, Irreplaceable is a testament to what people can accomplish when they refuse to lose a place they love—and a call to each of us to protect what matters before it is gone. We hope you’ll join us for this special film about Mianus River Gorge.
